Nigger
Kike
Spic
Chink
Cracker
Words
Of ignorance
Taught by ignorance
And learned by the vulnerable
Until the multiple begin to think as one
Whore
Tramp
Slut
Dog
Words
Of intimidation
By those afraid of competition
And those afraid to admit they feel less than
So they address the next man with insults
And we catapult verbal assassinations
Passing judgments
And tagging each other as IT
With these words
And we sit amongst us
Secret enemies
Revealed at the peak of our intensity
While evil blames sensitivity
And our WORDS speak volumes
And become the roots of problems
And I’ve tossed aside the lie that they will never hurt you like those sticks and stones
‘Cause at least those wounds eventually heal
And I hate the term politically correct because it keeps us from being real about our feelings
And I will never pretend to be innocenct
‘Cause I too have been a shameful participant of WORDS
Easy to say
Harder to be heard
Verbs of anger
Nouns of rage
Adjectives of skewed objectivity
These weapons of verbal destruction
And in this land of freedom we have abandoned reluctant
Discarded hesitant
And care less about feelings
Dealing WORDS like narcotics
Until we become robotic
And speak automatically
No longer thinking
Just trying to break down those around us so we can build ourselves up
And then we try to slang up these WORDS to make them positive
Like flipping it into the mainstream makes it opposite
No
It just makes it common
But it doesn’t make sense
So then we try to delegate it only to a certain group of people
As if given privilege to ignorance elminates the evil of these WORDS
And it’s crazy to think that by embracing them we are erasing the original definitions
And we sing them in songs
And we put them in movies
And we wear them on our clothing
And we impregnate our wombs with these WORDS
And then we try to be philosophical about them
Believing that if we don’t give them power then we’ve defeated them
And it’s lazy thinking like that has kept us still
And it’s people trying to be deep like that that have killed us socially
Vocally I want to impart wisdom with my WORDS
And embark on higher vision with my WORDS
And start on a mission to come together and better our WORDS
And I want those OLD words to be intolerable
So inexcuable that no one will follow them
Delete all of their meaning and hollow them with emptiness
And replace them with substance
So that our WORDS have purpose
And then no one will be nervous before you speak
And seek intelligence in our WORDS
And not ignorance
And hope in every sentence
And in every inflection
For this world of opportunity is in a verbal depression
Where every penny you thought was chump change
But I want to pump change in those bloodlines and gender lines that underline these words
And make them bold
And no I’m not holier than thou
‘Cause like I said
I will never pretend to be innocent
And I too have been a shameful participant of WORDS
But I want those WORDS to be intolerable
So inexcuable that no one will follow them
Delete all of their meaning and hollow them with emptiness
And replace them with substance
So that our WORDS have purpose
And then no one will be nervous before you speak
