I'm not sure if it's because of what this piece represents to me or if it's because of the reality of it all. You had me from "i rise... innocence rises too but it's presence... i deny" That struck me so profoundly that all I could do was try to absorb the rest of what was written yet I remained incapable of commenting. Still pondering the fact that what was lost was, is, so much more significant that anything that can be gained. Something that can never be retrieved for something that is so fleeting. What is free..really? Certainly not what so many perceive it to be. It is in fact only a perception, subject to change at any given time. Easily influenced by external factors and individual circumstances...ok, now I know why I couldn't comment...lol Best thing for me to do is get some sleep before I get overly involved.
