~ A Conversation with You ~
Man...I got lines for sale!//
I made my career in retail//
Come on in, this the last day before we bail//
Hope you liking the décor in my store...what the heck is on the floor?...Jackie, clean up aisle 12!//
You remember when my lyrics were a cornerstore?//
And you snuck out your mama house for an encore//
And I would never charge you a cent for your...speculation//
I got robbed a few times...oh well, it comes with the occupation//
Then we both grew up, I made an empire with my chain of commands//
In the form of new style, lingo, and brands//
But then suddenly the money stopped coming...//
My inventory was collecting dust, I brushed it off, now Feds say I got "dirt" on my hands//
I was so sick of the on-lookers doing the window-shopping//
They was like, "Yeah, that's hot, but I'll come back when the prices dropping"//
But nothing is going in my pockets!...my wallet so flat, it looks like my darn WELCOME mat!//
They tried to can me saying I was ripping people off//
Guess they forgot when I was dripping people off...//
With money, and clothing that they vowed never to be stripping off//
Now I can't please my customers... so I'm shipping off//
Anywayz//
We're on to better days//
No more marketing relays or surveillance tapes on re-play//
I'm packing up my merchandise//
Because I saw so many flock to those who was selling lines for souls at such a low price//
It's kind of funny, now that i'm leaving, people swarming like flies//
But where was that love when the well was dry?//
I only tried to keep it real, you know, be 100//
But with the ever changing demands on lyrics to keep switching would be redundant!//
They're so fake...and this is senseless!//
I'm sick of it, So before I deal with it...I'm going out of business!//
~ Jackie, after this customer leaves help me pack some more boxes ~
God Bless!
