"Life"
  by Rox

all things that glitter
can't really be called gold
and all things new
eventually get old

what I once allowed
now, I don't tolerate,
the things I used to love
i'm now beginning to hate

the snakes slithering in the grass
I thought they were my friends
and all good things
eventually come to an end

you really do miss that water
when your well runs dry
and life can truly change
in the blink of an eye

things important today
tomorrow, won't even matter
if no one is around when the glass falls
does it make a sound when it shatter?

all things done in the dark
will eventually come to light'
do we ever get tired of doing wrong
and start doing right?

If he hits you once
he'll surely do it again
The Liar is not better than the Killer
cause sin is simply sin

If he cheats once
will he cheat always?
if the leopard can't change its spots
can a man change his ways?

I can't see God
but I know that he is there,
you've already passed judgment against me
but I can't bring myself to care.

The truth of the matter is
things Do, and people Can change
and if you have faith in God
the answers to life's questions will become more plain!

I love the way you put all of these quotes and cliches together in this poem. Very good word play. Those are sayings we have all heard, and come to think about it I have never seen them all in the same place at once. Again excellent word play.
