"In-Security Guard"
  by H2O

Lights are flashing!
RED ALERT! RED ALERT! RED ALERT!
Ouch! My fucking ears hurt!
While this annoyingly loud alarm sounds
Triggered by Whom? What? Where? When? Why? & How?
Damn! What is it now?
The siren continues to shriek
Damn, this is the third time this week!
This system is super sensitive; it can get set off by the slightest creek

I’m scanning through the monitors, trying to see if the cameras picked up something
Is there a real threat, or is it just upset for nothing?
This system has been known to go off for no apparent reason
It doesn’t matter the time of day, time of the month or time of the season
I remember one winter I was stuck out in cold, freezing
Shaking & shivering, wheezing cause I was having trouble breathing
I could believe this shit, the system had just locked me out
I tried to enter my code, but it had completely just blocked me out
The things that be going on, just don’t make any sense
The alarm also still gets triggered by past events
The Janitor was talking to me about it one day
He was telling me about how the system, wasn’t always this way
I ask him “What happened?” & this is what he had to say…..

“It all goes back to the days before you were hired
The men that had position before you, wasn’t doing what was required
They did great damage to the system before they finally got fired
These guys were liars, left the system neglected & unprotected, while they just did whatever they desired
Especially this one guy in particular, he really abused the job
The very thing he was supposed to help secure, he contributed to it getting robbed
He manipulated, confused & misconstrued the entire main frame
Left the system humiliated & the others must have been affiliated, cause they also did the same thing
They left a huge void as they destroyed the entire defense
After then, even with all the new men, the system hasn’t been the same since
Due to the previous harm, now its damn near impossible to disarm
The whole system overreacts; anything causes it panic, resulting in automatic false alarms
So now it requires extreme attention, so you have to act with precision, caution & care
Despite all of the repairs, some damage is still there,
it’s just something you have to deal with, even though I know it aint fair”

See…

The system isn’t just state of the art; it’s the female’s heart
And the previous men are the ones who tore it apart
Leaving me to tend to it, after it’s been bruised, misused, marred & emotionally scarred
Damn it’s hard, being an In-Security Guard!

I'm loving this write. It might not be right, but it's just how it is. Don't lie though, men have this same system in place and it's just as hard for women to disarm them as well.
