actually, there are two aspects to this, with the first haiku, the purpose of that one was to illustrate that it's way too easy to chronicle all the issue on hip-hop w/ the south from, bad lyricists, etc. i think the main issue is why is this the only genre that's concerned w/ being a legend before proving their worth, one of the untold reasons why hip-hop is faltering is the voice was taken out of the music. and until someone steps up on a major, not independent label (nas tried to do it, but... hmmm i honestly can't say i agree with this. As a true hip hop advocate from ny i see two sides u could to this...u could kinda see it like the south (financially only in terms of sales tho) kept hip hop alive. But on the other hand i could not completely disagree with someone who says that in terms of the quality the south slowly turned hip hop into something it wasnt meant 2 be. I do like a few rap acts from the south t.i. luda and outcast are the ones that come to mind but other than that in... [+]more
