Funny how I can change so much
How I went from being down to never letting up
How I went from not giving to shits about my school work
To working full time in a business suit and shirt
Its absolutely crazy that I went from being really disrespectful
To having people complimenting me on being "simply wonderful"
Its hard to tell that I used to care only about my well being
Used to laugh when I heard that someone was dying
But now its like I cant help but care
And when my friends need help they know that I’m always there
All these changes were hard to make
But I was sleep then now I’m wide awake
I didn’t want to understand the every day struggles of this life
And I didn’t want to try to deal with the strife
Until you came into the picture
That the real reason I worked so hard to grow up and mature
You made me want to go on
And when I was down you were the shoulder I cried on
Baby you changed my life in the most extraordinary way
